First year abroad fall 2024 E-Bill Information

  • E-Bills will be available online through our Student Account Portal.
  • Once the student has logged in to the student account portal, they can add any parent/guardian/contact as an authorized party. Once added, the authorized party will receive an e-mail with registration instructions.
  • Students may be charged a late fee and dropped from their respective first year abroad program if their balance is not paid in full by the due date of July 15th. All loans must be complete with promissory notes signed and financial aid finalized. 

Payment Options

We provide several different methods to pay your student account balance:

  • Online Payments: AmEx, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, E-Check, and E-Savings online payments can be made by logging on to the student account portal and selecting Make a Payment.
  • Loan Options: Families may elect to finance their student’s education. While we do not recommend any specific lenders, you may view private loan options on: elmselect.com and Federal Parent PLUS Loan information on: studentaid.gov.
  • Mailing Payments: Bank, personal, and 529 plan checks can be mailed to: Dean College, Attn: Student Accounts, 99 Main Street, Franklin, MA 02038. Please include the Dean student ID number when mailing in payments.
  • Payments via Phone: Payments can be made via phone by calling Nelnet Campus Commerce at 800-609-8056; Monday-Friday from 8 am-10 pm EST and Saturday from 9 am-3 pm EST.

Institutional Refund Policy

  • Students who withdraw from all FYA program courses will be eligible for a reduction of tuition and room and board in accordance with the schedule below, based on the date the student officially withdraws from the College.
Date Types of Reduction
Up to 75 days prior to program departure – July 15th 100% of tuition, room, board and program fee 
Up to 50 days prior to program departure – August 10th  50% of tuition, room, board and program fee 
49 days prior to program departure – August 11th  No refund of tuition and program fee
  • For questions about the institutional or federal refund policies for students who withdraw or are withdrawn from all courses, or for examples of refund calculations after the start of the program, contact the Center for Student Financial Planning and Services.
  • Students who are suspended or dismissed from the program or residence halls will receive no adjustment of charges. 
  • The First Year Abroad Application Fee and Enrollment Fee are non-refundable.
  • If a program is cancelled by CIEE for any reason whatsoever prior to participant departure, CIEE will refund 100% of program fee.
