With a new home at Franklin Country Club, the members of the men’s golf team are focused on finishing strong and looking to the future. Ethan Lessard ’22, captain of the golf team and Sport Management major, Nate Minese ’22, an Athletic Coaching and Recreation Management major, Adam Tremblay ’22, assistant captain and Sport Management major, and Liam O’Neill ’25, a Sports Broadcasting major, shared their favorite things about being student-athletes at Dean.

Q: What is your favorite thing about being on the men’s golf team?

Ethan: “The family dynamic we have with each other that creates a great atmosphere to be around and makes being on the team a lot of fun at all times.”

Nate: “It's a family. We’re all there for each other and look out for our teammates. That's just one part of The Dean Difference.”

Adam: “That everyone jokes on each other!”

Liam: “Just having fun with my teammates.”

Q: How has being a student-athlete shaped your Dean experience?

Ethan: “My experience as a student-athlete has greatly shaped my experience as a student at Dean in that I have had an extra community to be a part of and have had an outlet beyond just school on a daily basis.”

Nate: “Being a student-athlete has made a huge impact on my experience here at Dean. I've made new friends every year and I've been given the opportunity to expand my career with the support of my professors and coaches.”

Adam: “Being a student-athlete has helped me develop time management skills to get class work done as soon as possible.”

Liam: “It has taught me time management and discipline.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Dean?

Ethan: “The connections and opportunities Dean provides students with. Being able to connect with so many professional sports teams and organizations and having job opportunities, such as working with the New England Revolution as a freshman, are what brought me to Dean and what I love about it here.”

Nate: “The small community, being able to be involved in everything on campus, and the opportunities to learn and achieve a path to my future career.”

Adam: “The student atmosphere.”

Liam: “How many amazing opportunities are available to freshmen so early on.”

Q: What are you most excited about this season?

Ethan: “I am most excited to try and close out my golf career with success on the course, and to be able to guide our group of incoming players towards future success.”

Nate: “It being my senior season, I'm looking forward to improving my golf game and leaving a good experience for the freshman and the future of the program to grow successfully.”

Liam: “Meeting and playing with new teammates.”
