In June, we welcomed our newest Bulldogs to campus during three orientation sessions. The enthusiasm of our incoming first-years is contagious, and we’re looking forward to getting to know them even better during the coming academic year.

“College orientation is the first step on an incredible journey these students will have during their time at Dean,” said Emma Mero, Director of Student Engagement and First Year Programs. “They are opening doors to new experiences, friendships and educational opportunities, and we’re so excited to welcome them to the next chapter of their lives.”

Our entering class is coming to us from 25 different states and eight countries. We expect 92 percent of our first-year students to live on-campus and 95 percent are seeking their bachelor’s degrees.

During orientation, 14 outstanding student orientation leaders led our new Bulldogs through two days of informational meetings, tours and social activities. And their families also got to know each other and everything Dean will offer their loved ones during the next four years.

Jaime Gorman, who will be attending Dean in the Fall as an acting major, said, “I had a blast at Dean’s orientation! I got to hang out with my future roommate a lot and there were so many fun activities that kept us busy. I especially enjoyed chatting with a few people who will be studying a similar major and I am very excited for the fall!”

New students will be arriving on campus for the fall semester on August 30th and classes begin on September 3rd.
